WBBL All-Star Five – Week 20.

We’re stacked with a trio of top quality WBBL ‘bigs’ again this week, with the backcourt bringing plenty of scoring and smarts.

Georgia Jones (Manchester Mystics)
The Great Britain guard is back in our starting five again after she helped her team take victory in the match-up at home to Team Northumbria. The playmaker finished the contest by coming relatively close to a triple-double after recording 21 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Cat Carr (Sevenoaks Suns)
The versatile Suns’ leader was the architect of a successful day in Edinburgh as Sevenoaks took down home favourites, Caledonia Pride. Carr came up with an influential display that harvested a massive 29 points, as well as nine rebounds, six assists and no turnovers in almost 37 minutes.

Ashley Harris (Nottingham Wildcats)
It wouldn’t be an All-Star Five without the Wildcats’ center in it – such has been her dominance this season. Harris added her usual double-double to her record with a power-packed 24 points and 10 rebounds against Barking Abbey Crusaders, to take Nottingham to the brink of another title.

Erika Livermore (Leicester Riders)
Livermore was on-form for Leicester as they had little difficulty in dispatching Oaklands Wolves to keep their hopes alive of pushing for a top spot. The centre helped Riders excel by accumulating a nice double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds – only missing one shot from the field in a deadly display.

Brittany Winborne (Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters)
Still dreaming of recapturing the WBBL Championship, Hatters stayed in contention with a win against Manchester Mystics which was built firmly on the physicality of Winborne. She produced the best performance of the entire weekend, with a dazzling double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds.

Off the bench –┬áTricia Oakes (Caledonia Pride), Alison Gorrell (Team Northumbria), Alex Smith (Leicester Riders), Dominique Allen (Manchester Mystics), Siobhan Prior (Nottingham Wildcats), Anne Pedersen (Sevenoaks Suns), Amy Browne (Manchester Mystics).
